A bit of biography

I have been in Amateur Radio since 1974. My first Call Sign was DB3PM. 1976 Heinz DL9VI

was my cw teacher and changed to licence A (B). I have always been interested in Amateur Radio

trough a dream I was a young boy of 12 years. I forget it for many years.

I was born in Eppelborn in the center of Saarland - Germany. After the School, I spent 8 years

in the coal-mine Maybach. The deepest coal floor I worked was 1200m (3937ft).

I went every day from the Railway Station

Quirschied to the mine Maybach.

I learn for locksmith and repair coal machines. Many from one’s own personal experience

was possible. Then come the terrible day happen in the mine Luisenthal. Many of there

workers was dead (299). That was enough for me and I plan to leave the mine at the nearest

time.

1965 all was ready to emigrate to Australia

but than come the letter for conscription (Bundeswehr). I spended in Koblenz and last in Diez –

Oranienstein. There I worked on motors and cars and learned many about that and make the

best of something.

At that time Instead of australia, now I live in the Westerwald area.

After few years I began to learn for locksmith master and take an examination. I do many like to

build oven, iron banisters, windows at aluminium material and so on.
